The NEW IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) is a high performance altitude and heading sensor that provides the highest quality heading information available for WTP2. Using multi-axis rate gyros and accelerometers to correct for the motion of the yacht the IMU is able to perform accurately even when subjected to accelerations of up to 5g.
